Activity Types are the broadest category of Activities. They form the first part of the definition of an Activity, such as Test Calcium.
On this page you can create new Activity Types, rename them or delete them.
You have complete flexibility in naming Activity Types. You might name Activity Types as actions, such as Measure, Repair, Observe. You might name them more passively, like categories, such as Measurements, Repairs, Observations.
Activity Types
Editing
You can add as many new Activity Types as you wish. To enter a new Activity Type, type a name for it on first empty row and press the ENTER key.
You can rename an Activity Type at any time. Simply type over it, then press the ENTER key.
To delete an Activity Type Press CTRL+D from the keyboard, or right click on the row to delete and select Delete Row.
NOTES:
1) The first Activity Type on row 1 is reserved for taking measurements. You are not allowed to delete it.
2) You can delete other Activity Types only if they are not part of an Activity Definition. That is, once an Activity Definition has been saved that contains an Activity Type, that Activity Type can not be deleted. For example, if you create an Activity Definition called Test Calcium, then deleting the Activity TypeTest is prohibited. Only if you delete all the Activity Definitions containing Testwould you be allowed to delete the Activity Type Test.
However, you can always change the name of any Activity Type.
